Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Mecora language-learning app and the mecora.me website. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

Mecora provides language courses, AI tutor conversations, audio narration, and speaking practice. Lesson content and tutor replies are generated with AI assistance and may occasionally contain mistakes — they are learning material, not professional advice.

Your account

Sign-in is passwordless: a code is sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service.
Do not use the AI tutor to generate unlawful or harmful content.
Custom courses you create must not infringe others' rights.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid plan. Mecora offers auto-renewing subscriptions billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store: Monthly (US$15.99 / 1 month), Quarterly (US$39.99 / 3 months) and Yearly (US$169.00 / 1 year). Prices in your local currency and the exact renewal terms are always shown by the store before you confirm a purchase.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and the store charges your payment method within 24 hours before renewal, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in the store's subscription settings (Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions). After cancelling, your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for; no further charges are made.
Plan changes. You can switch plans in the app; the store shows how the unused value of your current plan is credited before you confirm.
Free trial. New accounts get a 7-day free trial of the course library after signing up. The trial does not require a payment method, converts to the free tier when it ends, and is not available again once an account has ever purchased a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by the stores, and refunds follow the store's refund policy (Google Play or Apple). If you believe you were charged in error, contact the store first, or write to us at support@mecora.me and we will help.
Price changes. If a subscription price changes, the store notifies you in advance and the new price only applies after your consent or at the next renewal as the store's rules require.

Content

Mecora's courses, audio, and branding belong to us or our licensors. Content you create (such as custom courses and chat messages) remains yours; you grant us the license needed to store and process it to run the service.

Termination

You may stop using Mecora and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the previous 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
